On Wednesday, September 21, as part of the 77th session of the UN General Assembly in New York, the Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Jajun Bayramov met with the Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of Slovakia Vyislava, Azerbaijan’s foreign policy.
During the meeting, Minister Bayramov noted that bilateral relations between the two countries are developing in a number of directions and there is great potential to expand this cooperation. He emphasized the importance of consistent work in order to develop bilateral cooperation in the economic sphere, as well as encouraging mutual investments.
The Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan also informed about the new situation in the region after the Second Karabakh war, the measures undertaken in connection with the implementation of tripartite statements, behavior and the latest provocations of the Armenian side, which were contrary to the obligations taken by it, as well as about the mine threats to liberated territories.
In turn, Vyislav Kacher noted the importance of continuing the existing political dialogue between our countries. He emphasized the importance of compliance with the principles of international law, which are the basis of interstate relations.
Kacher added that he was aimed at the further development of the relations of cooperation, trade and economic ties between Slovakia and Azerbaijan. Taking into account the vast experience and technology of Slovakia, he emphasized the intention to support efforts in the field of clearance.
