On Friday, September 9, Azerbaijan Foreign Minister Jahun Bayramov accepted the special representative of the Russian Foreign Minister of the Russian Foreign Ministry to normalize Azerbaijani-Armenian relations of Igor Khovaev.
As reported in Haqqin.az in the foreign policy, during the meeting, the parties exchanged views on issues on the bilateral agenda between Azerbaijan and Russia, about the current situation in the region, including various aspects of the process of normalizing relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia, as well as about the work done in the field of measures to strengthen trust and further prospects.
The parties emphasized the importance of the full implementation of the provisions of tripartite statements signed by the leaders of Azerbaijan, Armenia and Russia, as well as the agreements reached as part of the normalization process to ensure peace and security in the region.
The meeting also discussed other regional issues representing mutual interest.
