Jayhun Bayramov: There should be no place for heroization of fascism in CIS

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov today took part in a meeting of the Council of the CIS Foreign Minister, which was held in Moscow.

The press service of the foreign policy department of Azerbaijan states that, speaking at the meeting, Jayhun Bayramov stressed that the continuation of cooperation in the humanitarian sphere will continue to strengthen the interstate relations and the development of the CIS.

Jeyhun Bayramov paid special attention to the draft appeal of the Heads of the CIS member states to the peoples of its countries and the world community on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the beginning of the Great Patriotic War. The minister recalled the huge contribution of Azerbaijan to victory over fascism and stated that this appeal is essential in the fight against the Nazi ideology and its propaganda.

Azerbaijani diplomat expressed regrets due to the fact that in the space of the CIS and today there are examples of the promotion of Nazism, such as installation in the center of Yerevan of the monument to the Nazis Assistant Garegin Nzhde. Jayhun Bayramov stressed that there should be no place for the heroization of fascism in the Commonwealth space.

The minister also said that as a result of the successful counter-projective operation of the Azerbaijani army, the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan was restored and restored by the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan. Jeyhun Bayramov highly appreciated the efforts of the Russian Federation for the adoption of a tripartite statement of November 10, 2020, in particular, the active mediation of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.
