On Saturday, September 17, a telephone conversation was held between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Jehun Bayramov and the Foreign Minister of Canada Melanie Jolie.
During the conversation, Jahun Bayramov informed a colleague about the large -scale provocations of the Armed Forces of Armenia in the border territories of Azerbaijan and Armenia and expressed serious concern about the situation.
It was emphasized that the focused provocations of Armenia and obstacles to the normalization process are serial in nature, and during the latest provocations 79 military personnel of the Azerbaijani army were killed.
Minister Bayramov also noted that Azerbaijan constantly supports the norms and principles of international law, sovereignty and territorial integrity of states and was a supporter of the conflict on the basis of these principles over the past 30 years.
According to him, Azerbaijan is not interested in aggravating the situation in the region during the period of restoration work, the return of forced immigrants to his homeland and is a party that promotes the process of normalizing relations with Armenia.
In turn, Melanie Jolie expressed concern about tension in the region and emphasized the importance of observing the ceasefire. She recalled the importance of ensuring stability and continuing the normalization process between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
