On Thursday, April 28, Azerbaijan Foreign Minister Jahun Bayramov adopted a delegation led by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria Vasil Georgiev.
During the meeting, the Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan noted the development of strategic partnership between the two countries on the basis of mutual interests and international law.
According to him, bilateral political dialogue and mutual contacts at a high level make a positive contribution to the development of relations between Azerbaijan and Bulgaria.
Minister Bayramov recalled that this year the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries is celebrated, and, in this regard, joint efforts will continue to further expand ties in various directions.
In turn, Georgiev emphasized the productivity of his visit to Azerbaijan and a rich working program, within the framework of which a round of political consultations was held, bilateral meetings were organized.
He noted that there are very good relations in the political sphere between Azerbaijan and Bulgaria, and economic, energy, transport, humanitarian, cultural ties are successfully developing.
The meeting also discussed the cooperation of two countries within the framework of international organizations, as well as the situation in Ukraine and other regional issues.
Bayramov expressed gratitude to the Bulgarian side for creating the necessary conditions for traveling through the territory of Bulgaria of Azerbaijani citizens in connection with the situation in Ukraine.
Georgiev said that the Foreign Minister of Bulgaria Theodore Genchovskaya invited the Azerbaijani colleague to visit Sofia.
