US President Joe Biden announced the withdrawal of his candidate in the elections, which will be held on November 5th.
Biden published a letter on his page on the social network.
Having stated that over the past 3.5 years of his stay in the president’s post in America, great progress has been reached, Biden continued: “We have preserved and defended our democracy.”
Biden noted that the work of the US president is the greatest honor for him: “I intended to run for the re -election, but decided that it would be better to refuse to participate in the elections on behalf of my party and my country. In the remaining time I will only concentrate on his presidential duties, ”he stressed.
The president said that he would inform the public in detail about his decision in the coming days. Biden also thanked Vice President Kamal Harris for her “extraordinary partnership”.
Bayden thanked the American people for trust and faith: “While America is one, there is nothing that it could not achieve,” he summed up.
