Johnson called on Russian scientists to move to Britain

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson called on Russian scientists who do not feel safe in Russia, move to the United Kingdom, writes The Guardian.

According to him, the invitation applies to all Russian scientists and researchers. “You can safely apply for a move to the UK and work in a country that appreciates openness, freedom and a desire for knowledge,” Johnson said on the sidelines of the G7 summit in Bavaria.

Johnson emphasized that he put forward this initiative as part of the expansion of the partnership system of universities in Ukraine and Great Britain, which allows Ukrainian scientists to engage in research at British universities.
