Jordan Resumes Work Of Jaber Checkpoint On Border With Syria

Jordan from December 18 resumes the work of the Jaber checkpoint on the border with Syria, closed on December 6. This was announced by the Jordanian official agency Petra Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply of Jordan Yarub al-Kid.

The Minister said that the trucks will be allowed to cross the border with Syria through the Jaber checkpoint, starting from the morning hours.

This decision will help increase the flow of commercial goods and goods between Jordan and Syria, ”said al -Keep.

The Minister also said that tomorrow it plans to visit the checkpoint and the joint free trade area between Syria and Jordan to get acquainted with the work course, procedures and rules regarding the process of trade exchange between two countries.

Earlier, on December 6, the Minister of Internal Affairs Jordan Mazin al-Farray announced the closure of the Jaber checkpoint due to the deterioration of security situation in the southern regions of Syria.
