The head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov, in his telegram channel, announced the environment of the Ukrainian city of Lisichansk (Lugansk region) by the forces of the Chechen units and the LPR troops.
The Russian BBC service writes that later some media and telegram channels published a video in which the LPR fighters allegedly set the red banner at one of the memorials in Lisichansk.
However, Ukrainian sources on Saturday day report that the city is still under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Lisichansk is the last major city in the Luhansk region, which remains under the control of the Ukrainian army. On the eve of the head of the Lugansk Regional Administration, Sergei Gaidai, in his telegram channel, wrote that the Russian military “was storming the Lisichansky oil refinery, hold the northwestern and southeastern parts of the plant.”
