Head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov is waiting for a reaction from the leadership of Turkey on statements by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation in connection with the opening of the Park named after Johar Dudayev in the Turkish city of Kerfes.
Kadyrov noted that he hoped that the leadership of Turkey would take the right decision. “We love Turkey very much …, rich history …, Muslim heritage … Therefore, I would not want our relationship to deteriorate because of the incomprehensible situation,” RIA Novosti gives Kadyrov.
General Johar Dudaev, the first president of the self-proclaimed Chechen Republic of Ichkeria and headed the fighting against the Russian federal forces, was killed in April 1996, the Chechen village of Gehi Chu. Earlier it was reported that in the city of Körfez Turkish Province Kojaeli, the park was opened, which local authorities were called the name Dudaev. In this regard, Kadyrov in the Telegram channel accused Turkey’s authority to allegedly supporting the “terrorists who committed crimes in Russia”, and called on Russian authorities to adopt diplomatic measures.
