Turkey will not support the sanctions of the West against Russia, because it does not want to harm its economy, said the official representative of Turkish President Ibrahim Kalyn on the air of the Haberturk television channel.
According to him, Turkey will not connect to sanctions. This decision comes from the economic benefits of Istanbul and dependence on Russian energy sources.
“We openly declared our position to the West, there is an understanding. The sanctions against Russia will hit, first of all, on Turkey’s economy, of course, we do not want this,” Kalyna quotes Gazeta.ru.
