A representative of Armenian separatists in the area of responsibility of Russian peacekeepers in Karabakh Aik Khanumyan told the details of the organization of the new route of the road that will connect the zone with Armenia.
According to him, a section of the new route passing through the settlements of the Buyuk Galadyaryasi, Kitik Galadyaryas and Gyutal and the leading to the border of Armenia is already ready.
“At the same time, the 11 -kilometer section of the border passing from the border of Armenia to the village of Kornidzor in the Syunik region is not yet ready,” he said.
Hanumyan recalled that on August 1, a tender for the construction of the road was carried out in Armenia.
“Presumably, after the closing of the current road, a 3-4-kilometer section of the dirt road leading from the border with Armenia will be temporarily used. This will be a temporary solution, while the road is built on the site in Armenia,” he said, adding that The necessary infrastructure should also be built along the alternative route.
Khanumyan also stated that construction work will continue after the route change.
“Currently, design work is underway on the construction of the communication line and the high -voltage power line. Most of the infrastructures existing along the current route of the Lachinsky corridor are currently also passing through the territory controlled by Azerbaijan. Therefore, some flexibility and negotiations are needed , as well as the effective participation of Russian peacekeepers to resolve all these issues, ”he said.
Khanumyan emphasized that the new route will act according to the logic of the corridor: “The 5-kilometer section will be completely under the control of Russian peacekeeping forces. The road will act according to the same logic of the corridor on which the Corridor Lachin-Zabukh operates.”
Recall that until August 25, residents occupied by Armenia in 1992, the village of Zabukh, Lachinsky district, should leave the village. After that, the de -Ukrainian point will be controlled by Azerbaijan.
