Karabakh separatists demand, but Yerevan is against

The speaker of the Armenia Parliament Alain Simonyan said that the text of a peace agreement between Baku and Yerevan should not mention Karabakh, Armenian media write.

Simonyan made this statement in response to a journalist’s question regarding Yerevan’s position on the need to include a paragraph on Karabakh in the text of a future peace agreement, which is required by representatives of the Karabakh separatists.

Alain Simonyan believes that the introduction of such a paragraph may cause the appearance of mirror requirements from Azerbaijan and “turn a peace treaty into nothing.”
