In order to stop the aggravation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border at 9:00 a truce was announced, the head of the International Committee of the Council of Russia, Grigory Karasin, told reporters.
He noted that this was achieved thanks to the efforts of Russia, including after the conversation of Russian President Vladimir Putin and Prime Minister of Armenia Nikola Pashinyan and the work of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
“In the evening and at night, intensive work was underway, including the Russian Foreign Ministry … The point is to stop exacerbation, to establish a normal atmosphere in the border zone,” Karasin said.
According to him, the situation was transferred to a relatively calm, peaceful direction, “there will be a lot of work ahead,” because Pashinyan turned to the CSTO.
