Kazakhstan: an agreement was ratified with China on international road transportation

Mazhilis’s deputies (lower house of the Republic of Parliament) on May 29 ratified the agreement between the governments of Kazakhstan and China on international road transport.

“China is one of the main trading partners of the Republic of Kazakhstan. An annually there is a tendency to increase the volume of cargo transportation by vehicles between the two countries,” said Kazakhstan Minister Marat Karabaev, whose words are quoted by Kazinform.

According to the Kazakhstan department, in 2023, the volume of transportation by vehicles doubled compared to 2022 – up to 1.8 million tons.

The main transported goods are equipment, equipment, consumer goods, plant products, textiles, ferrous and non -ferrous metals, etc.

“The current agreement with the Chinese country was concluded in 1992, taking into account the possibility of the transportation process of that time. The new agreement provides for the norms for the introduction of information technology and improvement of the transportation process, which provide for the possibility of passing the parties in the deep into the territories of the two countries. According to the Kazakhstani media, Mazhilis also ratified the agreement between the governments of Kazakhstan and the People’s Republic of the People’s Republic of the Trans -Caspian International Transport Route, including for container trains by China – Europe.
