Kazakhstan and Saudi Arabia signed an intergovernmental agreement on the release of owners of diplomatic and official passports from visa requirements.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs Murat Nurtleu held official negotiations in the capital of Saudi Arabia Er-Riyada.
He took part in the 6th meeting of the Kazakh-Saudi Inter-government Commission for Cooperation, which was under coemance of the Minister of Investments of Saudi Arabia Khalid Bin Abdulaziz al-Falikh.
Minister Nurtleu emphasized the strategic importance of strengthening cooperation between the state and private sectors of the two countries.
Noting the potential for the development of trade and economic relations with Saudi Arabia and the expansion of partnership, Nurtleu said that both sides have the opportunity to cooperate in sectors such as green energy, food security, transport, logistics, mining, petrochemistry, rural economy, finance and tourism.
“Kazakhstan is a country with huge territories rich in underground resources and human capital. It is extremely important for us to develop mutually beneficial trade and economic relations, as well as relations in the field of large -scale investments,” said the Kazakh Minister.
As part of the meeting, the parties signed an intergovernmental agreement on the release of owners of diplomatic and official passports from visa requirements. In addition, a memorandum of understanding of cooperation between the Bank for the Development of Kazakhstan and the Export-Import Bank of Saudi Arabia was signed.
