Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan Murat Nurtleu and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Republic of the Republic of Sierra Leone Timothy Musa Kabba discussed a wide range of issues, including political, economic and cultural and humanitarian cooperation, focusing on expanding contacts.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, the Foreign Minister Sierra Leone arrived in Astana on the first official visit.
During the meeting, the parties confirmed the willingness to activate efforts to improve the contract framework and develop the practice of exchanging visits at various levels.
“Despite the geographical remoteness, we are interested in building cooperation based on trust and equal rights. There is significant potential for fruitful interaction in areas such as trade, transport and logistics, healthcare, agriculture and other key industries,” Nurtleu emphasized.
It was noted that Kazakhstan is one of the ten largest grain producers in the world and is interested in using the Trans -Caspian International Transport Route for the delivery of grain, cereals, oilseeds, high -quality meat and organic products to African countries.
In addition, ministers discussed cooperation in the field of information technology and digitalization, including on the basis of the largest in Central Asia, the Astana Hub startup park.
Last year, a memorandum in this area was signed, and Kazakhstan through the agency “KazAID” handed over the component elements of the E-GOV sieron side.
The Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan expressed gratitude to his colleague for the support and co -authorship of the UN General Assembly of the UN Regional Center for Sustainable Development for Central Asia and Afghanistan in Almaty. He emphasized Astana’s readiness for further cooperation in the field of sustainable development and active interaction within the framework of international initiatives.
The interlocutors also exchanged views on topical issues of the international agenda and agreed to continue active coordination of efforts at various levels.
Following the negotiations of the head of foreign policy departments, they signed a road map for cooperation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Republic of Sierra-Leone.
