Kazakhstan and Türkiye discussed cooperation to ensure security at Caspian Sea

The delegations of Kazakhstan and Turkey discussed the issues of cooperation in the field of security at the Caspian Sea.

According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kazakhstan, Minister Genghis Arinov met with the Turkish delegation led by Deputy Minister of National Defense Bilalnourdals in the capital of Kazakhstan Astana.

During the meeting, which was also attended by the Director General of the company “Military Factory and Shipyard Operation Inc.” (Asfat) Behchet Karatash, which is part of the structure of the Ministry of National Defense, an assessment of cooperation in the field of ensuring security at sea and maintaining ships and resources to respond to emergency situations.

noting that Turkey is an important and reliable partner, Arinov said that cooperation in the field of shipbuilding could become an important element in bilateral relations.

The Minister said that they are considering creating a “professional emergency rescue service”, which will be able to immediately respond to emergency situations at the Kazakhstani area of ​​the Caspian Sea.

Glating the Ministry of Emergencies noted that thanks to this work, various operations at sea and on land, such as ensuring safety in the Caspian, interference in oil spills, vessels and fires, as well as rescue operations can be carried out immediately.

During the meeting at which the Turkish side introduced modern technologies suitable for completing the tasks of the service, an agreement was reached on mutual cooperation in the field of security in the Caspian.
