Kazakhstan: Ban On Export Of Certain Types Of Timber Is Extended In Kazakhstan

In Kazakhstan, a ban on the export of certain types of timber, regardless of the country of origin, extended. This was reported by Kazinform agency with reference to the Minister of Industry and Construction, which signed the order of December 4, 2024 “On some issues of regulating the export of certain types of timber”.

“Bow the ban on the export from the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan by all types of transport for a period of six months of certain types of timber, regardless of the country of origin, with the exception of the sleepers of conifers for railway or tram tracks, and granules of wood, the country of origin of which is Kazakhstan ” – follows from the document.

The order is enforced from December 12, 2024.

The ban on the removal of certain types of timber has been operating in Kazakhstan since 2023. The previous document was adopted on June 10, 2024.
