Gratitude Day is a bright holiday that personifies mutual gratitude, solidarity and respect for each other. This is stated in the message of the President of Kazakhstan Kasym-Zhomart Tokayev on the occasion of the holiday celebrated in the country on March 1.
“Unity and cohesion, selfless love for their native land for centuries helped our people overcome the most difficult trials and challenges. These fundamental values have become an integral part of our national identity,” said Tokaev.
The President noted that “This year was marked by the 30th anniversary of the Assembly of the people of Kazakhstan, which all this time makes an invaluable contribution to strengthening mutual understanding and consent” in Kazakhstani society.
“Today we are faced with large -scale tasks for the implementation of systemic and comprehensive reforms. It is important that all citizens fully realize their share of responsibility for the fate of the country. Only together we will be able to achieve success in building a fair and harmonious society,” the message says.
Earlier in his message on the occasion of the onset of the month of the month for Muslims, Ramazan Tokaev noted that for the Kazakh people, “religion and traditions are inextricably linked concepts that mutually complement each other, calling for good and creation”
“It is very symbolic that this year the beginning of the month Ramazan coincided with the day of gratitude. Deep in content and consonant in meaning, these holidays contribute to strengthening the unity of our people,” Tokaev said.

The holiday has been celebrated in the country since 2016 and is dedicated to the Day of the Education of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan. The decree on the creation of the Assembly of the people of Kazakhstan was signed on March 1, 1995.
The holiday is designed to become an expression of friendship, mercy and consent between the peoples of a multinational country, symbolizes its unity.
