Kazakhstan directed the diplomatic note of Russia in connection with the customs blocking on the Russian border of 20 trucks that followed from China to Europe.
According to Casinform, Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Serik Zhumangarin answered the question of deputies about “why Kazakhstani trucks were not passed across the Russian border to Europe.”
According to Zhumangarin, according to the new rules of Russia, the export of unmanned aerial vehicles, military uniforms, generators, batteries and other products to the European Union, USA and Ukraine through the country’s territory is limited.
Dzhumangari noted that Russia did not inform Kazakhstan about these changes and put them into effect unilaterally: “Because of these restrictions, 20 cars that followed from China to European countries through the territory of Kazakhstan and Russia were stopped at the border.”
He said that the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Moscow sent a note to the Russian Foreign Ministry to solve the problem.
The deputy prime minister recalled that according to the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), goods detained in the customs territory should be returned to the declarant. According to him, letters with a request to miss trucks or return them to Kazakhstan are sent to the relevant authorities of Russia.
Dzhumongarin added that this issue will be discussed at a bilateral and multilateral basis at a meeting of the Council of the Heads of Government of the Eurasian Economic Union in Almaty next week.
