Kazakhstan: From January 1, 2025, Ban On Export Of Gasoline And Diesel Fuel Is Introduced

In Kazakhstan, from the first of January 2025, a ban on the export of gasoline and diesel fuel outside the countries of the Eurasian Economic Community (EAEU) is introduced.

The Ministry of Energy prepared a draft relevant additions to the joint order of the Ministry of Energy, the KNB, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Finance of October 8, 2024 “On some issues of the export of oil products from the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan,” Zakon.kz.

to introduce from January 1, 2025 for a period of six months a ban on the export from the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan outside the customs territory of the EAEU of light distillates, airlines and diesel fuel, gas -coats, toluene, xylola, oil bitumen, ”the document said. P>

The exception is: the export in the gas troops provided for by the manufacturer of automobile vehicles, the export of aviation fuel for the scientific research work on the selection of additives, qualification and laboratory testing of samples, as well as certain types of oil products exported within the framework of humanitarian aid to decision Government.

The Ministry of Energy explained that at the moment the country notes an uncharacteristic increase in the consumption of gasoline of the AI-92 and diesel fuel brand and the corresponding decrease in the residues.

The ban on the export of petroleum products outside the EAEU will load the invalid capacities of Kazakhstani refineries due to the processing of semi -finished products and, accordingly, to reduce the deficiency of the fuel and lubricants in the country, as well as fulfill the conditions of duty -free supplies and eliminate the re -export of imported oil products.
