In the Mangistau region of Kazakhstan, the grand opening of the international teaching “Birlestik -2024” (association – 2024) took place. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Kazakhstan.
The ceremony was held on the embankment of the port city of Aktau.
The event was attended by the command of the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan, the head of the delegations of the countries participating in the exercises, military personnel of the Aktau garrison, veterans, residents and guests of the naval capital.

On behalf of the leadership of the Ministry of Defense, on the start of the Birlestіk-2024 teaching, its participants were congratulated by the First Deputy Minister of Defense of Kazakhstan-chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Lieutenant General Sultan Kamaletdinov.
He noted that the peoples of countries connect close, friendly relations based on the heroic past of ancestors and trust in each other.
“The format of the exercise with the involvement of military contingents from the Armed Forces of the four countries of the Central Asian region and the Azerbaijan Republic is applied for the first time. And this indicates the desire of our states to further expand and strengthen good-neighborly relations, including in ensuring security and stability “, – emphasized the first deputy minister.
Kamaletdinov noted that the doctrine will increase the level of the coherence of the military administration organs of the troops and will test the methods of conducting armed struggle in the implementation of educational and combat tasks to eliminate illegal armed groups.
Military contingents of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan take part in the development of educational and combat tasks. About 4 thousand military personnel and up to 700 weapons and military equipment will be involved in the doctrine.
