Kazakhstan, if the issue of the construction of nuclear power plants at a nationwide referendum, expects to spend $ 10-12 billion on the construction of the facility. This is stated in the advisory document for the draft law “On the use of alternative energy sources”, reports inbusiness.kz.
According to a document published in the database of regulatory legal acts, it is planned to build nuclear power plants in case of approval in a referendum until 2035 with funds from the budget of the republic.
The document is published on Wednesday and will be at the stage of public discussions until July 27, 2024.
