Kazakhstan Plans To Increase Oil Export Through Baku-Tbilisi-Jahan Pipeline

Kazakhstan plans to increase oil export through the Baku-Tbilisi-Jahan pipeline. This was announced by Minister of Foreign Affairs Murat Nurtleu following negotiations with the Azerbaijani colleague Jaykhun Bayramov in Astana.

“We successfully implement our agreements on the supply of Kazakhstani energy resources to the world market through Azerbaijan. Last year, 1.4 million tons of oil were exported through the Baku-Tbilisi-Jahan pipeline. In the future, it is planned to increase the volume of Kazakhstani oil transit to 2.2 million tons per year,” said Nuturtleu, the words of which are cited by the agency. Kazinform.

The minister also noted that Kazakhstan in cooperation with Azerbaijani partners continues the stable deliveries of Uranus abroad.

“Transportation of Kazakhstani energy resources and the implementation of infrastructure projects through the Caspian Sea is an important link between the South Caucasus and Central Asia,” added the Kazakhstan Foreign Minister.

On Tuesday, March 11, the Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Jahun Bayramov arrived in the capital of Kazakhstan on an official visit.
