Sanctions against Russia will not affect Kazakhstan gas export, said the Minister of Energy of Kazakhstan Bolat Akchulakov at the “Government hour” in the Mazhilis (Lower House) of parliament on Monday.
“We never sold our gas to Europe directly through Gazprom networks. We always gave it to either Kazakhstan-Russia on the border, or exported to China through our gas pipeline. Therefore, there is no restrictions in terms of Kazakhstani gas transit”, – quotes Akchulakova Interfax.
According to him, now in Kazakhstan the task is not to export gas, but to close internal needs. “We have a deficit predicts, and we will reduce all exports to zero by 2025. And then we will have a question from where to get gas, in order to close the growing needs besides our own production,” the minister added.
