Kazakhstan: V Youth Theater Forum of CIS countries takes place

From June 3 to 9 in Almaty (Kazakhstan), the anniversary V Youth Theater Forum of the CIS countries is designed to strengthen the creative contacts of young figures of the theater. This was reported by the press service of the CIS Executive Committee.

Almaty will become a place of attraction of more than 200 directors, playwrights, actors, sceneders, theatrical critics under the age of 35 from 9 countries: Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.

The purpose of the forum is to preserve and develop cultural ties in the post -Soviet space, to identify and unite young theater leaders, thereby contributing to the expansion of the forms of cooperation of the creative youth of the CIS countries in the field of culture and art.

The forum will show performances, presentations of catalogs of artists and collections of plays of young playwrights, master classes, seminars, lectures from recognized theater figures will take place.

The organizer of the event is the International Confederation of Theater Unions with the support of the Interstate Fund for the Humanitarian Cooperation of the CIS Participants.

The forum will present 9 performances of young directors from 9 countries: Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. A professional jury will determine the winners who will be awarded with cash prizes and commemorative prizes in the form of a gold, silver and bronze umbrella – a unifying symbol of the CIS youth theater forum. The best performance of the forum will become a participant in the XVII International Theater Festival. A.P. Chekhov, which will be held in Moscow in 2025.
