National Nuclear Company “Kazatomprom” and the Czech company čez a. S. They signed a contract for the supply of Kazakhstani concentrate of natural uranium for the atomic power plants of the Czech Republic. This was reported by the press service of Kazatomprom.
“The agreement marks a significant expansion of the presence of Kazatomprom in Europe and helps to strengthen the company’s positions on the world uranium market. Over the next seven years, the supply of Kazakhstani uranium will be able to cover about a third of the uranium needs for the manufacture of Westinghouse heat -eating assemblies used at the Temelin nuclear power plant and this will strengthen the energy security of the Czech Republic and strengthen the role NPP in providing the country with pure and stable electricity, ”the report said.
The official signing ceremony took place in the head office čez a. S. in Prague.
This deal is a logical continuation of the strategic partnership, which Kazatomprom is developing around the world, striving for the diversification of sales channels, the company noted.
