Kazakhstan Will Update 9 Checkpoints On Border With PRC, Uzbekistan And Turkmenistan

In Kazakhstan, a full -scale modernization of automobile checkpoints continues. To date, the update has been affected by 9 checkpoints on the border with China, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan.

According to the press service of the Kazakh government, within the framework of the planned work it is expected to increase throughput to 6 times a day, on average from 170 to 960 vehicles, as well as a reduction in the border passage to 30 minutes.

Modernization of 9 checkpoints is planned to be completed this year.

In addition, at all 10 road border points along the external border of the Eurasian Economic Union, an automated electronic queue system has been introduced. You can use it on the “Qoldau.kz” platform and through the mobile application “Cargoruqsat”.

It is noted that the implementation of the system made it possible to exclude physical accumulation of vehicles along roads of republican significance and ensured the transparency of the transportation process.

In addition, from January 1, 2025, a new law “On public procurement”, developed as part of the instructions of the President of the country, entered into force in Kazakhstan. Changes are aimed at simplifying and accelerating tenders, as well as to support Kazakhstani manufacturers.
