Kazakhstani skater Sofya Selfe-Delkin made their debut at the World Cup and entered the top 20 best, providing Kazakhstan with the first Olympic license for games-2026 in Milan.
According to the Kazakhstani state media, in Boston, where the world championship was held, Samodelkin went into an arbitrary program, becoming one of the 24 skaters who fought for the Olympic quotas.
This is the first case in six years when Kazakhstan has received a chance to compete again for medals in female single skating.
In the arbitrary program, Kazakhstan scored 117.78 points. In total, Samodelkina is 181.36. This result allowed her to take the final 14th place.
