The population of Nur-Sultan is growing too fast, the load on the social and engineering infrastructure increases. The head of the capital Altai Kulginov said that in the future the possibility of migration in Nur-Sultan could be limited.
“In the future, we will need some limits. Because we cannot increase the limit of the inhabitants, if the heat does not have enough, there will not be enough water and electricity. All this must be considered, this is a matter of the future, therefore in the general plan, in designing all this is taken into account. It is necessary to look at what measures in the future, but they are not excluded, ”Oorda quotes him.
Kulginov recalled that it was originally planned that in 2030 800 thousand people would live in Nur Sultan, but today in the city over 2 million inhabitants. By 2035, the population of the capital of Kazakhstan will reach 2.5 million people.
