Kenyka Beatrice Chepta took first place in 45th Istanbul marathon

In the 45th Istanbul marathon, organized by the subsidiary of the Istanbul municipality (IBB) by SPOR ISTANBUL and sponsored Türkiye İş Bankası, the Kenyan athlete of Beatrice Chepta won.

Marathon, which is the “only intercontinental marathon” in the world and is part of the “Gold Label” category of the World Association, was held for the 45th time.

Starting 250 meters behind the Martyrs on July 15 on the Anatolian side and finishing the Sultanammet in the European part on the Square, Kenyan athlete Beatrice Chepta took first place, showing the final result of 2 hours 27 minutes and 9 seconds.

Veronika Njeri Main of the country took second place after 2 hours 27 minutes 24 seconds, and Valentina Mateiko – eventually 2 hours 32 minutes 15 seconds finished the third.
