Kiev needed practical military assistance to the United States, the commander of the joint forces of Ukraine, Sergey Oev, said during the negotiations with the attache on defense issues at the US Embassy Colonel Briton Stewart, reports RIA Novosti.
According to him, in order to acquire full operational capabilities, Ukraine requires advice-honorable, expert and substantial practical assistance to the United States.
Ovener informed Stuart about the security situation in the east of Ukraine, in the Black Sea region and along the Ukrainian border.
Stewart, in turn, emphasized the US readiness to continue providing support and practical assistance to Ukraine to protect the territorial integrity and curbing aggression. “Our efforts in the field of military cooperation and joint training should be aimed at raising the level of mutual trust, friendship and prosperity of our countries,” she noted.
