King Morocco Mohammed VI amnestied more than 1,500 people on the occasion of the holiday of Ramadan.
According to the Ministry of Justice of the African country, 1518 prisoners fell under the amnesty.
King Morocco in July amnestied 979 prisoners in connection with the holiday of Kurban-Bayram.
According to Article 58 of the Morocco Constitution, the king can declare an amnesty in relation to prisoners.
