Kirkuk Turkmen offer alternate governorship

Chairman of the Turkmen faction in the parliament of Iraq, deputy Kirkuk from the Iraqi Turkmen Front (ITK) Ershat Saliha “to maintain a sustainable balance” in the city of Kirkuk, suggested that each component actually acted as the governor for 16 months.

In a post on his page on the social network X Saliha, he said: “The Iraqi Turkmen Front is the only institution representing the national will of the Terkmen -Turkmeneli region.”

“Kirkuk underwent great demographic changes as a result of a policy of arabization until 2003 and the Kurdizhization policy after 2003,” Salikhi emphasized:

According to him, “for these reasons, the results of the elections to the provincial council of Kirkuk will never reflect the noble identity of Kirkuk. Despite demographic changes, we once again confirm that Kirkuk is a Turkmen city.”

No one has the right to single -handedly make decisions in Kirkuk. We advise all groups not to even dream of the return of Kirkuk to the previous times. In fact, those who make such an attempt will suffer more than other ethnic groups.

To make the balance in Kirkuki a strong, we offer that each component continues to act as the governor for 16 months in the order of rotation. “
