The Second President of Armenia Robert Kocharian at a meeting with his supporters explained the reason why he did not head the opposition movement “Resistance”.
The politician noted that after the parliamentary elections in July 2021, the voting results were analyzed and two factors that caused its defeat were identified.
According to Kocharian, two theses were advanced during the election company: a “worthy world”, which was offered by the Ayan and World at all costs, put forward by the authorities of Armenia. The ex-president of Armenia stated that the political path and image of the leader he had been scared by voters who were afraid of a new war.
The second factor, according to him, is a segregation of society and politicians on old and new, immigrants from Armenia and Karabakh. In his opinion, for many years these ideas were fed and left their mark in the minds of citizens.
“to neutralize these two theses, I participated in processions, but did not act as a leader. We did not reach our goal, but coped with organizational issues,” said Kocharyan.
Armenian politician assured that he would continue opposition activities, analyze the current situation and continue the struggle. He also added that he was already working on a new project, but did not disclose details.
