Kosovo Signed Loan Agreement With Saudi Arabian Development Fund

The Kosovo government and the Saudi Arabian Development Fund signed a new credit agreement in the amount of about 13 million euros.

The signing ceremony took place in the Government building in the capital of Protem, with the participation of the Minister of Finance, Labor and Transfers of Kosovo Khekurana Murati, the Minister of the Environment, Territorial Planning and Infrastructure of Liburne Aliu and the main executive director of the SFD Sultan al-Marshada.

Hekuran Murati in his speech noted that this highway, according to which 27 thousand cars drive daily, is very important for the inhabitants of Kosovo.

He said that the amount of a loan agreement signed with SFD is 53 million Saudi Rials or about 13 million euros. Murati said that for the economic development of Kosovo, the government intends to deepen partnership with Saudi Arabia

The Chief Executive Director of SFD Al-Marshad emphasized that the signing of a loan agreement is evidence of constant support for the development of infrastructure in Kosovo Saudi Arabia.

Credit will be used for the final part of the project to expand the highway between Protina and Mitrovitsa.

Since 2013, the Saudi Fund has provided several loans for the construction of this road project.
