Kremlin about Putin’s meeting with Pope Roman

“There are no agreements on the meeting of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin with Pope Francis, and such initiatives should follow the dypical services.” This was reported to reporters by the press secretary of the Russian leader Dmitry Peskov.

He also noted that no initiatives on this issue were voiced, and did not give an assessment of the need for such a meeting.

Pope previously said in an interview that he was ready to go to Moscow to meet with Putin in order to assist in resolving the conflict in Ukraine.
