Russian President Vladimir Putin, in a conversation with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, said that Russia’s return to a grain transaction is possible only after investigating a strike on Sevastopol and receiving security guarantees from Ukraine, the Kremlin press service reports.
According to the head of Russia, it is necessary to conduct a detailed investigation of the circumstances of the infrastructure strikes and ships of the Russian Black Sea Fleet. Kyiv should give real guarantees of strict observance of Istanbul agreements, including the refusal to use the humanitarian corridor for military purposes.
“Only after this could be considered the issue of resuming work within the framework of this” Black Sea initiative, “the Kremlin press service said in a statement.
