The Kremlin began preparations for the presidential election, based on the fact that President Vladimir Putin will take part in them.
Kommersant, citing several sources in the Presidential Administration, writes that AP representatives recently held appropriate consultations with the expert community. The presidential election, which should be officially scheduled at the end of 2023 by the Federation Council, will be preceded by regional elections on a single voting day in September.
The sources of the publication say that the election campaigns in the regions “will take place in a special military operation, sanctions, escalations in international relations.” The same agenda will be preserved for the presidential election, one of the interlocutors of the newspaper believes.
As Kommersant writes, “Clean contours of the ideological component” Putin’s upcoming campaign still does not, “although it is assumed that it will be based on the topic of unity.”
