The Kremlin does not agree that the successful completion of the “special military operation” (SV) in Ukraine will bring the war of Russia with the West. So the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov commented on the words of Polish President Andrzej Duda that “the potential war of Russia with the West will be incredibly close” if the Russian Federation prevails in the armed conflict in Ukraine.
“No, we do not share such forecasts,” Peskov emphasized, – the words of which are given by Russian media.
The Kremlin representative also commented on the words of the former US President Donald Trump that during his presidential terms he had a good relationship with the Russian leader Vladimir Putin.
“You know that there was nothing good for Russia with Trump, on the contrary, more and more restrictions were introduced. But nevertheless there was a dialogue. This, probably, can be attributed to positive elements,” Peskov said.
The press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation also explained the introduction of restrictions on access to some settlements of the Belgorod region.
“Until it [the operation to create a security zone in the Kharkov region] has not been completed, the barbaric attacks of the Kyiv regime on civilian infrastructure are continuing,” said the Kremlin representative.
“In order to take the necessary measures to ensure the safety of the population [of the Belgorod region], new practices are introduced,” he explained.
Earlier, the Governor of the Belgorod Region Vyacheslav Gladkov in his Telegram channel said that from July 23, access to 14 settlements will be limited, where the operational situation is most acute.
At the same time, the Kremlin rejected the assumption that the introduction of new security measures in the Belgorod region may mean the failure of operations to create a “sanitary zone” in the Kharkov region.
”This operation continues, it will continue until successful completion,” says the Kremlin representative.
Peskov also stated that Moscow did not receive any reaction from Western countries on peaceful proposals of Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban in Ukraine.
He noted that from the West “there were public answers”.
“Europeans are trying to expose Orban, to completely disavow any authority on this and resumes the determination to provide assistance to Ukraine in military affairs. Probably, this is the answer,” said the Kremlin representative.
Peskov noted that the Russian Federation continues contacts with the Hungarian side on this issue, reminding of the Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Hungary Peter Siyyarto at the UN headquarters in New York. “These contacts continue, but you heard public answers,” he added.
