The Kremlin considers Bashar al-Assad to be the legitimate leader of Syria and is making efforts to resolve the situation, said Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov.
“We are convinced that Assad is the legitimate leader of the Syrian state, we are making considerable efforts to give impetus to work on the constitution and, in general, to advance the Syrian settlement along the political track,” said Peskov6, quoted by RIA Novosti.
