The Kremlin considers the option of holding “referendums” in “DPR”, “LPR” and in the territories of Ukraine until the end of autumn, RBC reports with reference to sources close to the Russian Presidential Administration.
According to media reports, preparing for the referendum, the Russian authorities were guided by the fact that, depending on the military situation, they could go in a “close or distant perspective.” The close was meant September, by the remote – November.
The scenario, according to which the referendums will be held in September, most likely will not be implemented, sources say. One of the reasons – Russian troops have not yet reached the administrative borders of the Donetsk region.
