The Kremlin is not yet ready to inform the exact time of the end of the 30-day moratorium on blows to energy facilities. This was announced by the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov, answering the corresponding question.
“We will inform you. So far I am not ready to inform you about the decision,” said the Kremlin representative, whose words are given by the Russian media.
“The Kiev regime, despite the moratorium that is soon expired, did not actually adhere to it. We were inflicted and attempts to strikes on our energy infrastructure,” he emphasized.
The Russian side holds the position that the moratorium on blows to energy facilities entered into force on March 18, 2025, since on this day Russian President Vladimir Putin gave the military order not to strike at the energy infrastructure of Ukraine. The restrictions should last 30 days with the possibility of extension by mutual agreement of the parties.
In addition, Peskov noted that Ukraine still prohibits itself to negotiate with Russia. “Do not forget that this is prohibited by the President of Ukraine,” he said.
Commenting on the decision to extend mobilization and martial law in Ukraine, Peskov said that in this way Kyiv “is trying to preserve its unstable structure.”
About the Iranian nuclear program
The Kremlin representative also commented on the opinion that the Russian Federation and China could become the guarantors of a new agreement between Iran and the USA under the nuclear program.
“The Russian Federation retains readiness in every way within its capabilities to help settle the situation around the Iranian nuclear program with political and diblomatic means. We will be ready to do everything that will depend on us,” he said.
At the same time, Peskov emphasized that “everything will depend on negotiations that Washington and Tehran will continue.”
“We expect that, as planned, the second round will take place,” he added.
