Russia had to introduce additional measures to protect oil terminals and refineries after Ukrainian attacks on the territory of the country. Security officials and regional authorities are constantly engaged in this, said the press secretary of the Russian president Dmitry Peskov, who is quoted by the Russian media.
“Of course, they are protected in constant mode. Additional measures are taken there,” said the Kremlin spokesman.
Peskov assures that Putin’s meeting dedicated to the “internal security” of the Russian Federation with constant members of the Security Council held on Tuesday, December 6, is not connected with Ukrainian blows. “Security Council is usually gathered once a week, if the schedule is not modified somehow. This is the same case,” Peskov answered.
On Monday, December 5, Ukrainian drones hit Engels-1 airfields in the Saratov region and Diaghilev in Ryazan. According to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, the explosion in Engels “damaged the casing of the housing of two aircraft”, and three military were killed at another airfield. At the same time, Engels -1 is located more than 750 km from the border of Ukraine, Diaghilev – less than 600 km. Not a single drone used by the Armed Forces of Ukraine has still been flying to such distances. In addition, says The New York Times with reference to a senior Ukrainian official, at least one of the two cases was struck with the help of special forces who were near the airfield and helped to bring drones to the target.
On the morning on Tuesday, December 6, it became known about the attack of the drone on the Russian airfield in the city of Kursk. As a result of the attack near the airfield, an oil -accumulator lit up.
