The Kremlin confirmed information about the imminent visit of the DPRK leader Kim Jong -un to Russia.
“At the invitation of the President of the Russian Federation (Vladimir) Putin, the chairman of the state affairs of the Korean People’s Democratic Republic Kim Jong-un will visit the Russian Federation on an official visit in the coming days,” the Kremlin press service said on Monday. >
Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov, in turn, said that Putin will meet with the North Korean leader in the coming days.
According to the Kremlin representative, the leaders will discuss, “first of all, bilateral relations.”
He said that as part of the visit of Kim Jong-un, Russian-North Korean negotiations are planned in the format of delegations, and “if necessary” Putin and Kim Jong-un will negotiate one on one.
