Gomel as a place of negotiations with Russia was chosen by the Ukrainian side, the press secretary of Russian President Dmitry Sadkov said.
Earlier, President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky said that Kyiv against negotiations in Belarus.
“Gomel’s city was proposed by the Ukrainian side – it was the Ukrainian side – as a place for negotiations. As we have already spoken, the Russian delegation is ready for these negotiations on the spot,” said the Kremlin representative.
At the same time, Moscow warned the Ukrainian side that “this time the events provided for by the conduct of the military operation will not be suspended – as it was done yesterday,” added sands.
