Kremlin: Russia is not trying to collapse dollar

Increasing the share of mutual settlements in national vots with different countries does not set the goal of drilling a dollar, said press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov to reporters.

“An increase in the share of mutual settlements in national currencies with different countries does not have its goal to bring down something, in particular, to bring down the dollar,” he said.

At the same time, he noted that the international trust in the dollar was undermined by the actions of the United States themselves: “The dollar has ceased to be a reliable reserve currency. These fears [regarding the reliability of the dollar] are now sharing a very large number of countries. Unfortunately, the country is the issuer of the dollar with its own The actions were shaken by confidence in this currency and therefore in a completely natural way many countries are looking for opportunities to reduce the share of the dollar in their trade turnover and increase the share of settlements in their national currencies. ” According to him, the same process takes place in the relationship of Russia with Turkey.
