Kremlin: There Are No Clear Outlines Of Some Peace Agreement On Ukraine Yet

There are no clear outlines of some peace agreement on Ukraine yet, but there is the political will of the Russian Federation and the United States to move towards this agreement. This was stated by the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov.

“A fairly intense work is being carried out. You know that the exchange of information from the first person takes place, what is called. I mean in the context of the recently held in St. Petersburg, the meeting [President of the Russian Federation Vladimir] Putin with Mr. [Special Supervisor of US President Stephen] Whitkoff,” said Peskov, whose words are given by Russian media.

“We very, very positively evaluate the constructive and substantial contacts that have taken place,” he said.

According to the Kremlin representative, intense work is underway, and the search for peaceful initiatives “is such a difficult substance that it is hardly possible to expect momentary results.”

“We must clearly understand that at the moment there is a tense work between Moscow and Washington. Moreover, it takes place in the name of peace. And against the backdrop of this, European countries continue to work in the name of the war and in every possible way declare their intention to continue to support Ukraine and the Kiev regime in its aspiration to continue the war,” said the Kremlin representative.

“I would like to hope for the best that this work is taking positive results. Now we would not say exactly along some time frame,” he added.

Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation also drew attention to great potential for economic cooperation and interaction between the Russian Federation and the USA.

Such the interaction of the two powers, according to him, “unambiguously” can play a stabilizing role for the world.

The Kremlin representative also commented on the possibility of a telephone conversation between the presidents of the Russian Federation and the USA.

“There is no such conversation in the schedule for the next few days,” he said.

Ca -Kallas statements

The Kremlin also drew attention to the tough rhetoric of the head of European diplomacy of KAI Kallas.

“We draw attention to her very, very strict statements. We do not consider them correct,” said Peskov.

He noted that in Europe there are states “which do not accept such rhetoric”.

“It is not for us to evaluate these threats. Assessment to these threats should be given to those sovereign states that it threatens,” said the Kremlin representative.

“We will be happy to see in Moscow everyone who is ready to share with us the pride and joy of this day,” he said.

Earlier, Callas demanded that EU members and the Candidates not participate in the Victory Parade in Moscow on May 9, threatening with “consequences” for violation of this requirement.
