Kuwait received the status of a “dialog partner” of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), Kuna Agency.

The decision was made at a SCO meeting, held on May 4-5 in India, within the framework of which a memorandum of the status of a “dialog partner” for Kuwait was signed.
The Ambassador of Kuwait in New Deli Jasim al-Snema put his signature under the document.
According to him, the document is the first step towards the country’s full membership in the SCO.
The Maldiv Republic, Myanmar and the United Arab Emirates received similar statuses to the SCO.
Saudi Arabia reported on the connection to the SCO as a “dialog partner” on March 29, and Qatar in September 2022.
